Good Ambience, good location

We liked the decor of this hotel - much nicer (and less expensive) than similar 5 star American chain hotels. Communication with the concierge was sometimes a problem. Some of them didn't speak much English, and they weren't helpful in booking tours, shows, dinner reservations etc, unless they were sponsored by the hotel.
The location was great. We walked to Tianamen Square, the Forbidden city, and the pedestrian street
