"If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home." - James Michener
"The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." - St. Augustine
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain
About Me: 24 years (gulp) in the Travel Industry, preceded by a life with parents who thought traveling was the best use of any excess money. We didn't go many places outside the U.S., but we always went somewhere every year - usually, national parks in the west/southwest United States. That, and my grandmother's subscription to National Geographic, made me the traveler-who-never-has-and-never-will-have-traveled-enough I am today!
