Homer, Alaska

"Whatever you are doing is the most beautiful thing"

About Me: Home-grown Alaskan. My mom is Malaysian and my dad is American/Scottish. I used to be a hard-core cross-country skier/student back in my days of formal education. Most recently I worked as a youth development volunteer in Mongolia for the past year, and now I'm basically wandering around wherever my opportunities arise as an educated, adventurous, and always optimistic citizen of the world.

More About akmonki

I travel because...
what you learn from traveling can be more valuable than a store-bought college education.
I love to travel to...
experience & learn.
I never forget to pack...

It's my dream to travel to...
anywhere that fills me a sense of peace, humanity, and awe. (specifically: India, New Zealand, Morocco, Turkey, Chile, Finland, the list is endless...)
When I'm not traveling...
I'm dreaming of traveling. Or saving up money working in the areas of psychology or teaching or (cringe) coffee-shop/restaurant.
I also travel online at...
