About Me: My father's preference: To travel alone. That is the best way to get to know people and places.
I love to travel and blend. I "move" to places, however temporarily. Take some form of a music maker, a guitar, your favorite instrument and, at every trip, the book that will be your guide. I visited Southern Spain while reading La España que conquistó al Nuevo Mundo de Rodolfo Puiggrós. A good, insightful book on the history of the place is the best companion. Learn about how people live. Do not stay within that narrow range of "touristy" places, whether you are about to pick a hotel, a restaurant, and a town to spend the day in. Venture into the unknown! All you need to get enough information about places. How to get there might not be easily available. Ask around! My best sources are always taxi drivers, local bus drivers, and people. Dare to ask! No offense to either new or wealthy travelers, but traveling should be as College, you advance, you place, and you graduate. Strategies for serious traveling: No luggage, no fears, no demands. Grab a bag, a good camera, and go.
