About Me: I probably wouldn’t be a travel junkie today were it not for my globe-trotting grandma, who always returned from her exciting adventures with wonderful photos and an exotic-looking doll for each granddaughter. My first stop when I get back from a trip is her house, to show off photos and souvenirs. She’s still teasing me for not having dared ride a camel in Egypt like she did.
At 94, her travel days are long past, but I know that she can at least vicariously enjoy my travel journals, just as I love reading about other guides’ adventures here at IgoUgo.

My weirdest travel habit is...
probably the constant scribbling in my notebook. Oh and I occasionally collect pieces of local toilet paper because my mother did that on her first trip out of the USA as a young adult. She couldn't believe how different the toilet paper was in Europe.
It's my dream to travel to...
Madagascar, The Maldives, Sri Lanka, The Seychelles, Shanghai, Portugal, Marrakesh, Russia ... and Bermuda by sailboat, and Mexico by road with a slide-on camper! I'm going to do that once they make ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel mandatory down there.
