I've stayed at the Hilton Times Square twice now and they have the most outstanding staff. From bellhops, to the front desk, to environmental services. Everyone is very polite, accommodating, and friendly. The lobby is on the 6th floor or so, so when you enter the building don't be confused. Friendly staff will help you find your way and help with your luggage. The hotel itself is very clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms offer fantastic views of the city. If I could sneak a bed out of the hotel I would, they're so comfortable! Plenty of elevators mean no long waits (although the day after New Year's Eve was a little crowded...1 million people in a city will do that though). I found the rooms to offer everything I needed. There's a fantastic breakfast buffet. It's not included, but it's delicious and varied for the price. There's also a beautiful bar where you can order food or drinks while taking in a view of the surrounding sky scrapers, and a lounge area to read your paper with coffee. As far as convenience, I'm not sure you could get much better. With an entrance on 42nd and 41st you can get right into the bustle of things out on 42nd, or sneak out onto 41st to catch a cab. Half a block away is Broadway and Times Square. Several theaters live on 42nd as well as Madame Tussauds and Ripley's Believe It or Not. Restaurants are not hard to come by - Applebee's, Famous Dave's BBQ, ,Chevys Fresh Mex and more. A major subway hub stands on the corner of 42nd and 8th, just outside the hotel doors. This hotel is fantastic, and I would readily recommend it to anyone.
