I would never have thought that I could have so much fun. Located conveniently on International Drive in Orlando right in the middle of playground USA was this very interesting yellow building with a with a larger than life basketball player. Thinking to myself "hmmmmmm what could this possibly be?" I walked inside to find a variety of arcade games, bowling, laser tag and a new concept to me entirely- Whirlyball (I'll get to that in a moment). First we went upstairs to the Laser Tag Arena and spent the next 20 minutes hiding and chasing everyone around shooting laser beams at their vests to "Take Them Down". It was awesome but being 50 years old I was exhausted when I was done. The younger crowd had the upper hand I'm afraid. But that's not all- back to Whirlyball. Whirlyball is a very awesome concept. We have all seen bumper cars and we all know what a whiffle ball is as well as a Jai Alai glove and the score boards of basketball without the net. Well put those three things together and you have Whirlyball. You take your place in a bumper car, you have a basket type glove similar to Jai Alai and a wiffle ball. You ride frantically along trying to gain control of the ball and whirl it toward backboard to electronically score. What a fun time. I must say I was not very good at it but had a blast.

After I was finished and completely sweaty and exhausted, I was able to pull myself up the the bar and enjoy a refreshing drink or two while I regained my energy for the rest of the evening. What a rush of adrenaline. Fun for everyone
