A nice traditional Welsh pub (IN THE EVENING!) ...

This bar has a perfect location, as you guessed it it is close to the railway station, which gives you quick access after a few beers to get to other locations of the town. Also a short walk from the bus station.

Firstly I must mention that the atmosphere in this pub changes drastically between the daytime and evening. Firstly in the daytime the pub is very quite. It is mostly filled with old alcoholic men, and it feels very cold, dull and boring when you go in there. The food is about average and very traditional dishes. I went for the fish and chips, but it was not fresh fish, i would say it was already frozen and covered in batter before cooking it. Sometimes you get also a few chaves or should i say scruffies or criminal looking type which does not make it comfortable here. However there are some pool tables and dart board to help pass the time with some good cheap beer. There is also a small beer garden which is quite popular in the summer time.

However come evening/ early evening it becomes more popular, lots of students, young couples ect go there, the place is also lit up with bright lights, the atmosphere completely changes and feels more warm and happy, it gets very full come 9pm with many types of people, everyone is happy and having fun. Some nights there are dj's sometimes kareokee and otherwise some great tunes from the system. The pool tables are moved so as it can become a dance floor. A great place may I add to meet some girls, when I was there I ended up tagging along with 3 nice girls. And the lighting is also ok, kind of cheesey old fashioned disco, but hay, its much better than in the day.

The prices are also great, ask for house vodca, wiskey ect with mixer only about 2.50 and thats a double! fosters and carling are the cheap beers but they have a range of beers and ales for sale. Also a range of crisps and bar snacks on offer in the evening. It can get very bsy so in the evening expect a little wait at the bar when being served. However if you like me and sit at or stand at the bar, the staff remember you and serve you whenever your glass is empty, also chilling by the bar is a great way of meeting people as many different people are constantly back and for to the bar.

As for the toilets I was blown away, they are upstairs from the bar up a steep wooden old staircase but when you enter the toilets you are amazed, i literally thought these toilets are better than most clubs. They had dark glittery interior, modern equipment, a mirror ceiling and smelled fresh and comfortable.
