LocationThe location is excellent, it sits right in the middle of the town situated with Castle Conway itself. This is a harbour town with mezmorising in tact medieval walls with stunning architecture. Apart from the castle there are many old interesting buildings, shops. restaurants, bars, cafe's and the old church where the Welsh Princess was buried (I forgot the name sorry!!). So being able to stay over night or more days if you wish just makes the overnight stay in Conway just perfect. This place has lots of character with added historical elements added.Food/Drinks/Servicethe menu is exceptionally good, i can recommend several dishes you cannot have a bad meal in this hotel, even though we booked as part of a deal we had a selected menu to choose from and all of us were happy with the food and its quality, and what a fantastic wine list I must say! I have been travelling around Spain visiting vineyards and I also studied wine tourism in University so I know good wine when I see it.... well, excellent selection, good value, and the glasses were sparkling fresh and clean, which some restaurants I think do not know how to keep wine glasses clean! The customer service was excellent; nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The night porter was especially helpful for a midnight snack and drink, everyone was happy with their work! This hotel can get a little crazy with the amount of guests so for the staff to still act cool and friendly, I appreciate thier efforts!!, especially when there are no lifts so someone must help guests with their luggage to the rooms.RoomsWell after you must walk up the stairs to your room with the luggage you arrive at a very spacious rooms and very well decorated, and exceptionally clean. Some rooms even great you with a luxury bath with champagne, awesome!! If you have problems with the room or its not what you ordered the staff are always happy to help you change if its possible. The corridors remind you of the olden days with wonderfully lined corridors with antique lamps and pictures, like an old country house lets say! The room has a style of classical decor with modern touches, especially the en-suite! The bed was very comfortable and we all had a great sleep. The only minor problems was the lack in electrical plug sockets, we only found One! and the fact that we could not pickup the wifi in the room, but this is probably due to the old building and thick walls!, just pop to the bar, rest area to use the internet or just sit on the staircase near the room. The views of the castle and town from the room, but be warned, not all rooms have a view lol!! put in a request when you book. Breakfast is included in price and additional costs for further supplements, refreshments, etc this castle is within walking distance to all attractions in the area and very little noise comes from the busy street outside, A great stay I recommend.
