Paradise Cove Luau Ohau, Hawaii

We went to the Paradise Cove Luau at 1860 Ala Moana Blvd. Honolulu, Hawaii on September 20, 2012. IT WAS TERRIBLE! They were scheduled to start a around 6:00PM, but did not get underway until 7:25PM because two Tour buses were caught in traffic. So over 300 of us sat and waited.

To make up some of the delayed time, the actors spoke and performed the Hawaiian ceremonies at such a fast rate that even locals could barely understand what they were saying. Many in the crowd were laughing thinking it was a comedy.

Then to make matter worse, the clouds that were building up all night started to rain. The Paradise Cove staff did handout ponchos but not until it had been raining heavily for 10 to 15 minutes and everyone was already soaked.

The food consisted of canned fruit cocktail, canned mixed cubed fruit, sliced pineapple, sliced fried breaded chicken with little to no seasoning, pulled pork with little to no seasoning, jello in different colors, and sheet cake. There was NOTHING Hawaiian about the meal. It is understandable why Paradise Cove prints "NON-REFUNDABLE" on three different places on your ticket and on signage all over this tourist trap!
