I stayed in this hotel between 7/21 to 31/2012. This had been my hotel for the last 5 years whenever I came to Maui, but no more. The good, the bad and the ugly:Good-Lowest rate in the area; Right on the beach and you can walk on the beach all to way to Wailea. Ten percent off for breakfast on the very good Italian restaurant next door. Good WiFi reception if you are close to the main building.Bad-Under renovation which is badly needed for this old and increasingly deteriorating place; many rooms including the front lobby had damaged window shutters which cannot be totally closed; no bug screen for the bathroom window; no printer for the lobby computer; most room only has one queen sized bed which occupied 85% of the the space of the tiny rooms; running out of towels frequently! The ugly-Less than friendly and inflexible hotel manger; once you given Days Inn online your credit card number, the hotel will charge you the entire reservation period and no refunds even if you want to check out just one day earlier (I stayed for 11 days).
