We visited this resort on the second week of June 2012.The Good: grounds are well kept and the are many activities in the resort (swimming pool, snack bar (no restaurant), lake, tennis court, putt putt golf and horseback riding). Staff was always happy and willing to help. We did rent a canoe and we also did the one hour horse ride. The Bad: No internet in rooms. You can only use internet in the registration building. No security at the gate. We stayed for one full week and the security guard does not stay at the entrance. This is probably due to him wearing other hats. For example, if there is a problem in your room (as we experienced several times) they will call security to fix it for you. So the security guard is also the maintenance guy (at least that was my perception since he was always the one answering the call for any room maintenance issues). Last but not least, there is at least an hour distance to all major attractions regardless of the cardinal direction of travel. The Really Ugly: Mice. Yes, Mice. Let me say that again: MICE live here. In one week stay, my wife and I had to move to three different rooms due to the mice problem. At night, we would place our feet on the center table in order to avoid being bitten while watching TV. Then one night, my wife woke up to find two mice in our room going up and down the dresser. It was 3am and she was unable to go back to sleep afraid that the mice would get on our bed. How did the administration deal with our hardship?...By offering free pizza (which we refused).Bottom line: My wife and I have done some very extensive traveling over the last 27 years and we have stayed in many motels, hotels and resorts. This however, is the first time we have experienced rodents in our condo. The experience was enough that we have made it a point to actually never stay here again and led us to actually write a review to warn others.
