We visit the Lickey Hills each Sunday for a walk with our three children and today decided to park in the car park at the Rose & Crown and walk down the pathway on Rose Hill. Towards the end of the road we turned to our left and went up the hill which is fenced in at parts due to been part of the old quarry. We had just got the top of the hill and were looking down to see how steep this part was when much to the delight of the children and ourselves we saw a deer run past us heading down the hill. For many years we have always remarked how there are signs up saying that deer do roam the hills yet we have never spotted one so it was with great delight we saw one today and the children have not stopped talking about it since. The Lickey Hills really are a delightful place to visit and makes you grateful you have some where like this on your door step.
