Two of my best friends and I stayed at the Cosmopolitan for three nights on a long weekend in the Spring of 2012 and I can speak for all three of us when I say that I cannot say enough great things about the hotel. I'll break it down into three categories: (1) the room, (2) the amenities, and (3) the restaurants / nightlife. We stayed in a standard room with 2 queen beds and it was not only beautiful but also extremely comfortable. I travel a ton for work so for me, the comfort of the bed is pretty much the most important thing for a hotel. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The decor is very modern but not harsh, if that makes sense - it manages to look very contemporary without looking trendy or cold. The bathroom was very modern, with a big glass shower, double sinks, and a separate toilet stall. I personally love it when hotels have really nice toiletries, and the Cosmopolitan carries CO Bigelow products which I definitely brought home for future trips. It was also very high tech for those who are interested in touch screens that operate everything.I cannot say enough about the hotel amenities - the workout room was great and free! There are three pools on the property that should satisfy all walks of people - from the pool in the day/night club to a quieter pool on the other side of the building. My friends and I used the spa on Saturday, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and I would definitely recommend leaving some time to enjoy the spa since there are hot baths, a steam shower, sauna, etc. On a slightly more boring note, the parking is free (for both hotel guests and others), and the parking garage has these really neat sensors that let you know where there is an open space. The hotel is in an awesome location being right in the middle of the strip, so its a quick cab ride to any of the surrounding restaurants or clubs. I ate at STK, where I had an excellent petit filet, and also at Holsteins, the burger place, where I had an awesome burger and shake. Both experiences included great service and better food. I also checked out the Marquee nightclub - not being a huge nightclub person, I actually liked it - there are several different spaces including a pretty cool library themed room upstairs and then of course the pool area outside. All in all I had a great time at the Cosmopolitan and would recommend it to anyone for their stay. It has the luxury and service that you expect from a great Las Vegas hotel, and between the amenities, food, and nightlife it offers something from everyone.
