Central Park is a very large park located on Manhattan island. A park is always what you make of it. There are the typical things to do like strolling on the grass and climbing large rocks. There are also attractions you can visit here. There are horse-drawn carriages available at the park. One is the zoo, located on the south-east side of the park. In the winter there are ice rinks such as Wollman rink. Skating there costs $16 for adults. If you are tired of being in the city, once you walk into the park you can be surrounded by greenery, squirrels, people exercising, etc and just forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. Central Park is easy to get to by bus or taxi. (A taxi costs less than $10 if you are coming from Penn Station - but if you are wanting to see a specific part of Central Park be sure to let the driver know so he takes you to the closest spot he can).
