My husband and I got married at the Sabor Cozumel in 2008 and it was an amazing experience. We were a little leery of what we would get once we arrived because the pricing was so great! But we were overwhelmingly surprised! When we arrived at the hotel, they greeted us with a warm welcome in the open air lobby! It was beautiful, colorful, and everyone was very friendly. They then proceeded to get us checked in and take us by golf cart over to the adult only side of the hotel (which is known as Sabor). Our room was amazing with a great welcome gift and art on the bed made out of towels ;-) Our room also had a great view over the adult pool, which also had a SLIDE from our patio to get to! It was just perfect. Just to explain, Sabor is the adult only side of the Wyndham Cozumel (which is the family side of the resort). If you stay at the Sabor, you have access to the entire hotel and all of the restaurants on both the family side and Sabor side. If you stay on the family side, you can't go over to the Sabor side. The food options were great and the food was REALLY good for an all inclusive resort. We highly recommend the restaurant of the Sabor side. The breakfast is amazing and the dinner host a great atmosphere and really yummy food! The chiliquiles is what I highly recommend for breakfast....on the patio over looking the pool! However, if you need just a quick snack, the grille/bar over on the family side has yummy nachos, quesadillas, etc. We highly recommend renting a jeep for a day and drive around the island. You can drive the entire island in one day and the "non developed" side of the island is amazing. The water is stunning and it is so clean and quite! The island has a decent "town square." You should take a taxi and go experience for the afternoon. Not great, but worth the time. You can have a beer or margarita at Carlos and Charlies overlooking the water ;-) You should also find a day to take the ferry over to Playa del Carmen. Alot of fun shopping and authentic Mexican Restaurants. Highly recommend doing that one day...make sure you are prepared for a 30-45 minute ferry ride though. They do try and make it fun for you though...they have live bands on board for your entertainment ;-)We had such a great experience that we have since went back to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and it was all exactly the same the second time around. Great service, food, experience. We will continue to go back to this hotel for years to come. It's just a special place!
