On our road trip to Philly my friends an I tried three different popular cheesesteak restaurants....Pat's, Jim's and Geno's. Geno's was our personal favorite. The service was actually surprisingly friendly and the line moved quickly. The seating, similar to Pat's, was all outside, and you had to stalk the tables waiting for someone to get up. I waited for a table while a friend waited in line, and the timing worked out well.At Geno's, we decided to try the french fries, which were nothing to write home about. As far as the steak, we were a bit disappointed in the size of the cheesesteak given the price, but with the onions and "whiz" Geno's had the best taste. We all agreed that this one was the worst value (due to the small size) and probably had the lowest quality ingredients, but it was the most flavorful of the three. Geno's also has the exact ambiance that we were looking for in a Philly Cheesesteak joint, so we had to declare Geno's the winner.
