This is by far the coolest attraction in St. Louis! It is great for kids of all ages and adults who are kids at heart. It is hard to put into words just exactly how amazing this place is. The price for this attraction is extremely reasonable. ArrivingStreet parking is free on the weekends at the meters or you can pay $5.00 to park in the parking lot The parking lot spaces are sometimes tight so backing in may be preferred if you choose the parking lot on site. If you want to park in this parking lot I recommend getting there right when it opens up or after 7:00 pm at night. You should get there early as there will be less people. It does get quite busy from lunch time until 6:00pm.RoofThis feature is an extra cost. It is worth it but I would recommend doing it first before you climb through the rest of the place. There is an elevator up to the roof. Just a little tip that you can take the elevator up to the roof and go down a few stairs to the 10 story slide. If you don't do this you have to walk up the 10 flights of stairs. There is a bar on the roof! This is really cool at night! FoodThe food is reasonably priced but the awesome thing about this place is that you can come and go as you please so you can leave and go get a real meal for the same price as you would pay there. There are lots of food establishments very close within walking distance.CircusI found this to be fairly lame. It changed but the acts were not that good. It was nice to sit down instead of climbing around and rest but the entertainment value was lacking.Night TimeThe turn off some of the lights and let you explore in the dark. I thought this was going to be much cooler than it turned out to be. There are lots of teenagers running around which tends to make it a little less fun.Parents worst nightmareI am putting this disclaimer in because if I had children this place would freak me out a little bit. If you can't climb through with your small children this place could be very stressful. The reason is there are tons of slides and such. One minute you will have a visual on your child and the next thing you know they disappear due to hidden pathways and slides taking them to different parts of the museum. Think of the game chutes and ladders. It really is a good time but I could see this end up being extremely stressful with little children.Other random things- You can't bring in food or drink. In the gift shop they sellng empty water bottle for $3.50. They have quite a few drinking fountains where you can fill it up for free. This will save you a great deal of money in buying bottled water. - The bathrooms are not always the most clean and are generally out of toliet paper.- They do have lots of hand sanitizer on the first floor- There are 2 bars located in the musuem.- If you plan on crawling around alot I would recommend investing in knee pads and wearing tennis shoes. Flip flops are not a good idea here!- Saturdays between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm seemed to be very slow when we were there and there were no lines.
