Riverwalk a lovely way to spend time in the city

The Riverwalk in Providence is a nice way to spend some time whilst you wander around the city. We noticed it from one of the windows in the mall and decided to investigate.

The river runs through the city and they have made pathways along the sides of the river so you can walk alongside. There are a few restaurants at the mall end with patios overlooking the river. Some of the pathway is cobbles, so not good if you are wearing heals.

As we walked along we saw many artists set up with easels painting and sketching the scenery. There are several places where there are bridges where you can cross the river and swap sides.

The end of the walk ends at the bay where the river ends.

A really nice way to relax and see some sights.
