Whilst in Plymouth we wanted to find somewhere to eat where we could get fresh fish - after all we were right on the coast. We walked past the Lobster Hut and decided to take a look at the menu.We went into the lobby area and there was a stand full of menus so we took a look and decided that we liked what we saw. They had various types of fish such a haddock, shrimps, oysters, lobster, scallops etc. They also had burger options for those who didn't like fish. When we went into the restaurant we were a little shocked to find we had to order as we went in and then take a ticket and wait for our number to be called. We had not expected it to be a fast food type place, but as we were hungary and already in there decided to order.I had shrimp with french fries and my husband had fish & chips, we both had soft drinks. It came to around $25.We placed our order and paid then found a table and waited for our order to be called. We waited about five minutes and then it arrived. Again it was a little disheartening to find everything on paper plates with plastic cutlery, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We are glad we did as both dishes were very fresh and tasty. My husband loved his fish so much I wished I had had it too, but the fried butterfly shrimps were huge and lovely. Once you have finished you throw your plates etc into the bins and leave. As I said I was expecting a sit down proper restaurant and was a bit disappointed with the McDonald's type setting, but the food was very very nice and so I cannot complain. If you are happy with this then you will not go far wrong, but if you want a proper restaurant where you are waited on then you will need to find somewhere else.
