We stayed there last year in June for my daughter's birthday. The rooms were average, and boring. Nothing special. The service was disappointing. Upon check-in, the hotel staff was less than friendly, except for a bell boy who decided to fill us in why the staff was so unhappy. He stated that the hotel was disappearing and becoming a different hotel and everyone's job is on the line. A recent inspection failed, and because there were problems, the higher ups decided to close the Embassy and sell to someone else. We got an earful on what exactly was wrong with the hotel and it was disturbing and sad. I felt at that point I paid to much, and wish I had stayed somewhere else. Needless to say, we didn't eat there at all.
