The Americana Village is by far my favorite place to stay in Tahoe. It's just off the beat and path but easily within walking distance to the Heavenly Village and Gondola as well casinos and the nightlife. The rooms are huge by hotel standards. They easily sleep four. There is a living room area with a pull out sofa and a bedroom area with a queen bed. The kitchenette had a everything you could possibly need. We made lunches in our room which was perfect when traveling with kids. The resort offered breakfast every morning in the way of coffee, donuts, oatmeal, and fruit. Several nights a week they have an on site dinner that was very good and much more affordable than a restaurant. The kids swam in the pool every day. It was heated to perfection. The activities that they offered were very fun. They also offered free bike rentals, sled rentals, snow shoes, and lots of seasonal equipment. The staff is second to none. Over the top friendly. Oh, and I almost forgot their is a laundry room. The Americana is officially my "Tahoe" home.
