My family loves, loves, loves to travel to Port Aransas to relax on the beach or go fishing! Did I say love? Well, last year, my fabulous mother-in-law decided to join us on our trip! The only problem? She has a beautiful Boston Terrier she doesn't leave home without! So, I went online looking for pet friendly hotels...result: 2 hotels. Plantation Suites had availability! Not knowing this hotel we took it. The pictures looked nice, so why not take the chance. We really didn't have a choice. When we arrived, we were greeting by the owner (who was the pet lover) and took to my mother-in-law's pet. She was very friendly, asking questions about Izzy (the dog :) ). We told her this was our first time here and we like what we saw so far.Our room was nice. It was a double room with kitchenette, fridge, and microwave. The beds were fluffy and comfy. The AC was COLD!! We had to turn up the temp because it got cold at night. They serve hot breakfast every morning and had great coffee. The one thing I recommend for breakfast is to arrive as early as possible. So many people take advantage of the breakfast, that if you arrive late (and I mean close to shut down), you will not have a variety of food...mainly cereals, muffins, etc.We had a great time! Unfortunately, we didn't catch fish, but we caught a lot of sun!
