Destination: BangkokAccomodation: Pullman Kingpower Hotel. Their website pretty muched showed how beautiful this hotel was so i was eager to get there and experience a pleasant stay.We arrived at 1am ... very hot and humid night ... we were received immediately and helped with our suitcases. The staff people were extremely welcoming and after filling in some forms we were taken to our room. To get to your floor you need to use your magnetic card that will also be used to enter your room and switch on the air and lights. We were assigned a room on the 8th floor ... i was surprised by the speed of the elevator as in few seconds we had arrived and we hadnt even sensed the same moving. Our room was wonderful! A very comfortable room with the necessary comodities that would make a better and more pleasant stay. The view had a very pleasant view of the pool area and other hotel installations ... this was very well appreciated thanks to the ceiling to floor window it had.Other comodities included comfortable 2 double beds placed together, 26'' LCD TV, feather pillows, free 4 hour broadband access, marble bathrooms wit seperate bath tub and shower, mini fridge bar, safety box within other small details. The hotel counts with 6 dining venues, each of which was more pleasant. They were all very trendy and offered the most variable atmospheres. We actually had dinner at 2am the first night at @ CHAAN ... excellent customer service, reasonable prices and really good food! Both The Glen bar and the Wine bar were open but only for drinks and the atmosphere was very relaxing.Continental breakfast was included in the room rate so we went down pretty early to have somethiing to eat before leaving the hotel. What we didnt know was that we were going to spend so much time having breakfast ... the room was huge and the options were increidibly wide ... from toasts, croissants, ham, cheese, jams, fresh fruits, fresh juices, cereals to sushi, soups, chicken, meat, bacon, pouched eggs, sausages, rice ... there is a saying "have breakfast like a king!" and that is exactly what we did every morning of our stay ... breakfast was one of my highlights for this hotel!Another item to highlight is the amazing duty free complex they have in a building right next to the one we were staying at. This offers guests the possibility of enjoying direct access to many shopping boutiques without having to go far.And then we have the pool ... the pool seems to be open all year round due to the hot humid weather bangkok has ... the size of it is pretty big allowing you to find your space of relaxation away from other guests if needing to do so ... but what is most inspiring is the view you have from the far end side ... the water falls over the edge and the view allows you to look down (2 floors more or less) into a garden space located in the center of the hotels buildings. There is a very comfortable changing room with showers that also have access to the hotels gym.It is also important to talk about the location ... this hotel is very well located ... a few blocks away from the Victory Monument (hub of the city) and really close to one of the BTS skytrain stations (one of the most effective ways i found to get around to most of the places i wanted to visit). The BTS will also be the best way to get to the MBK shopping center (one of the most biggest shopping centers i have ever seen in my life). There are many other interesting facts of the hotel but in my opinion the above described are the most outstanding for me that would definately make me go back in any future visit to the city.Prices was very accesible for a 5 star hotel as it is ... and last but not least (i cannot finish this review without saying) this hotel gives you a real taste of what Asian Hospitality is ... each and every person from the hotel made our stay a perfect stay!
