We stayed in a corner room on the 15th floor - Concierge Level - thanks to my husband's platinum status with Marriott. We had a 270 deg view of the harbor and city. The room's floor to ceiling glass windows let you drink in all the beauty of Victoria with the US's Olympic range across the Juan de Fuca strait to the lovely gardens of Fairmont Empress to Vancouver Islands' picturesque mountains framing the modern Victoria harbor views. I watched the cruise liners steam out of the harbor at midnight.Everyone on the hotel staff was very pleasant and willing to go out of their way to help. The valet even asked you if you left anything in your room/safe - and runs through a quick list of most frequently forgotten items (very helpful reminders!)The concierge scored us a primo table on Saturday night at the very busy Nautical Nellies on waterfront. The hotel is located in the middle of city but it was easy to get around and out of Victoria when you ready to see other sites - which are plentiful. All the employees were pleasant and helpful.
