Visiting Another Planet

We drove down to Moab from Salt Lake to do some mountain biking. But before (and after) our downhill excitement we ventured into Arches for some extraordinary sight-seeing.

The rich red landscape is like...awesome. Once you drive in and up in to the park it's like you're on another planet. For miles and miles you see nothing but nature. I was in awe at the grand view of the arches, canyons and mountains jutting up so high. And, If I could geek-out for a sec, the complementary colors of the blue sky and iron-rich red mountains made the sight even more beautiful.

We visited a few spots in the park: The Park Avenue trail, Double Arch, Windows, Balanced Rock and peeped the Delicate Arch from afar as we were pressed for time. But all the other areas and hiking we couldn't see/do makes for a splendid reason to return.
