What a great hotel to experience! We had our last 3 nights in Athens for touring and was delighted with this historic hotel. The rooms were large, well-lit, we had an Acropolis view room, with king bed. Classic styling with modern touches (internet service, full service spa, etc.,) The bed was so comfortable, with a large sitting area and desk. The bathroom was tiled and everything was very clean, double sinks, large shower area and tub! The room had plenty of storage space for luggage, clothing, etc., Easy access to walk the streets of Athens to view the Acropolis and Plaka district. The National Gardens and Olympic Stadium are close by as well. Great shops, restaurants, nightlife nearby. If you can arrange a private city tour before you go, it works out the best. Seeing the best of the best on your first day in town. The Roof Garden is fantastic with excellent views of the Acropolis and other city sights. We had Donna Salerno Travel put together a fabulous trip to the Greek islands, with touring in Athens before we returned home. She charges a 100 research fee, but it goes towards the cost of your trip - excellent value! Beautiful trip! So much to see and do. Athens was a very walkable city and it was nice to come back to such a fabulous hotel after a day of touring.
