I walked into the church above the Capuchin Crypt, an everyday monastery. I didn't see anything worth writing home about until I got down into the crypt- and I saw the bones of thousands of monks lining the walls. Sure, right now it sounds like a horror film, but in real life it's nothing short of art. Beautiful patterns of bones grace the walls, as do towers of skulls and stacks of pelvises. Sounds revolting, but go. Seriously, if you don't, you'll be missing out on one of the best sites in Roma.
