I stayed with a group of friends at Lake Shore Village Resort in March for a few days. We had a blast! The cabins are cozy. We felt a bit cramped at times with four adults and a two year old, but we made the best of it. The drive to LSVR was beautiful, but be warned - once you get close, the roads are not paved. The cabins are nice. Furniture was a bit old and worn. Kitchen was VERY well equipped with all kinds of pots, pans, plates, and even some spices that we had forgotten to bring with us. We cooked or grilled out every night. There's a TV and DVD player, but we didn't even turn it on once. No need to!We LOVED the pool and hot tub! There are huge glass windows in the room with beautiful lake views. The lake was still frozen so we spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub. I thought looked clean and well maintained. We saw it being cleaned. Firewood is $5 a bundle and you don't get a whole lot. We brought some with us. There's nothing nearby. I asked the woman at the front desk where downtown Weare was and she looked at me like I was a crazy person. My fault. Maybe I should have done my research. Thank you LSVR for giving us a fun place to stay. We hope to return!
