Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. One block away from Midwest Airline Center, minutes from Pabst Milwaukee Theatre, The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Bradley Center, and many other venues. My room looked to be newly renovated with modern amenities like a flat-panel television, wireless high speed Internet, and docks for an IPod and MP3 player. The bedding was of very high quality, and the bathroom had a massage shower head with spa quality bath amenities. I was told that many rooms have a great view of the city although mine did not. I recommend asking for one when checking in. I ate at "Kil@wat" on the second floor of the hotel, advertised as one of the city’s best restaurants. The food is very good and the presentation was very impressive. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food I ate. It is semi upscale fine dining; and if that's not your thing, room service is open 24hrs. Otherwise, you can walk right out the front door where you will find plenty of good eateries within walking distance. The hotel charges $20.00 for parking and $25.00 for valet. I thought it was preposterous that hotel guests should have to pay for parking, but it is the downtown area. I guess they can get away with that due to the location of the hotel. It is in the center of all the venues. If your mission is to visit downtown Milwaukee, I would definitely recommend this hotel over all others in the area. If you don’t need to be near downtown, there are other choices near the airport or Mayfair which are just as nice; and don’t require you to pay for parking!
