Old and Worn Out

We have stayed at Sandals ten times and this is the first time that we did not receive an upgrade. This was our second time staying at Sandals Negril. The whole resort is getting worn out. The pools were dirty and had many missing tiles. There was a black stain around the backside of the main pool. The beach is so eroded that there are many sandbags on the beach and in the water. The swimming in the ocean was terrible here. The bottom was squishy and had lots of seagrass. We had to go next door to Beaches Sandy Bay and further down to Beaches Negril to swim in the ocean. Those beaches were great. We walked down to Couples Swept Away a few times and it looks like a great place to stay. I talked to people on the beach staying there and they loved it and said they had lots of high quality liquor including Crown Royal. Sandals Negril did not have Crown Royal. We did see it in St Lucia in 2009 however. I would not recommend this resort unless they refurbish it completely.
