The Vatican Museums is one of those places that everyone should visit at least once in his life. It is immense, so take some water (they don't have almost any water fountains!) and snacks and be prepared to walk a lot. They only have air conditioning in a few rooms and when we went in September it was VERY hot. If you don't want to use a guiding service, plan your trip well. Make sure not to skip the most important artwork like Raphael's Transfiguration or the old Papal Apartments!
