This is my third time in the last year staying at The Ridge Tahoe and my last. My vacation was ruined by the staff and my needs were ignored. I could over look the dated interior because of the beautiful location but unfortunately the service has progressively become worse. It has now become intolerable.
The first time we stayed at The Ridge we loved the location. The staff was a bit rude but we were able to overlooked there attitudes because of the stunning landscape. It is a bit secluded but if you enjoy mountains, skiing and Heavenly’s ski run Stage Coach is open, it works out just fine. The second time we stayed at The Ridge the staff was still rude, they made a few mistakes with our reservation and provided us with little assistance. Heavenly’s Stage Coach was closed making us drive 25 minute down the hill to get to the skiing. Our last stay was in beginning of January 2010. It was horrible and we will never be back. The employees were downright offensive. The thermostat did not work. The sheets smelled. The employees stomped up the stairway every morning at 5:45 waking us up. The roof leaked. All this and more… The Ridge did nothing to fix any of these problems. I thought surely the resort manager would want to know about this unpleasant experience but she failed to return any of my phone calls.

What a waste of a beautiful view!
