Wagamama is a Pan-Asian food chain with many outlets across London. It is only a number of these that I have been to so can only comment on them. Wagamama serves a range of Pan-Asian dishes, mostly specialising in noodle dishes but also do salads and rice dishes. Their slogan is positive eating + positive living and in this specialise in natural ingredients and healthy, nutritional food. I am really impressed with Wagamama for the efficiency and quality of their food. If you are looking for a romantic dinner for two, don't come here. In London at least, they were one of the first restaurants to serve food with canteen style seating. They have very long tables and benches, which mean you are sat next to anyone, so don't expect privacy. As such, it can also get very noisy so intimate conversation can be forced. Sweet nothings don't work quite so well when hollered across the table! That said, it can also be fun because of this and the crowd is often mixed and usually up for a chat if you are. The food itself is great. It hasn't varied over the years and you'd get very bored if you went frequently but for the odd occasion it's great. The ramen dishes are excellent and I can highly recommend their Chicken Udon - beautiful thick noodles and rich in flavour. Service is usually friendly and very quick so it's a great place if your looking to grab a quick pre-theatre or movie bite. Please note though that unlike most restaurants, they do not wait to bring your order out together - it comes out as it's cooked so you may have gaps between you receiving your meal and your partner receiving theirs. Given the quality of the produce it is also very reasonably priced with main courses ranging in price from £7 - £12 and portions are hearty. I can highly recommend Wagamama for a quick bite.
