Not Bad for a "Chain" Eatery

Nickel's was recommended to us by a friend from Montreal. There are a few of them in the area but the one on St. Catherine West was the easiest for us to get to. The decor is the 50s style diner with lots of chrome and mirrors, plenty of photos and posters of movie stars from the era as well. The menu has enough variety to satisfy most, with the usual burgers, fries, barbeque, sandwiches, pasta etc. They have yummy desserts though we were too full to indulge. Graham had the burger and said it was quite good and i had the fajitas which were also nice and fresh. They do only give you four "pancakes" for the fajitas but enough meat and veg for several more. Let's face it, you can only fit so much in a 7 inch tortilla shell and still be able to wrap it! I can't say it was the best meal i ever had but it was pretty good.
