Went in 2007 after recommendation from friends, suberb evening, fine dining and excellent service. Went two weeks ago, service appalling, only four tables occupied on terrace, fine dining room empty! very 'cocky' overfamiliar waiter who greeted us with the words ' the more money you pay the less food you get so I suggest you order all three courses! I requested black pepper with the first course which arrived when we had finished. Main course arrived and after several minutes I had to enter the building and look for some cutlery to eat it with! We requested brandies after dinner, there was a choice of 1, £8-00 a glass which was then served in cold whisky tumblers. This was followed by a request for cigars, 'we only have 2 cigars and I don't know how old they are'. This pales into insignificance when we placed the money for the evening inside the billfold including a 279kr tip [ small but representing the poor service] only for the waiter to return several minutes later to say there was a shortfall of 500kr. We requested to speak to the Matre De who in fact turned out to be the waiter!!!We payed up and left. On returning to the UK we e-mailed the owner to share our very disappointing experience, he in return has offered us a voucher for a bottle of champagne next time we eat there, there will never be a next time. One positive, the food was very good but to us a fine dining experience encompasses more than just what you eat. Speak as you find.
