Truly amazing. We visit the Mayan resort every year, it is our favorite. Been there three times now. After several visits using RCI exchanges, we ended up purchasing a week at their resort in Nuevo Vallarta as well. The airport is very close by. Even so, the private taxi ride from there to the hotel is expensive, thanks to Rudy, we happened to know about a collective service to the Mayan Resort is only a few dollars per person. For Sighseeing We were lucky enough to find Rodolfo Rudy Fregoso of Tour by Van Acapulco, he arranged all our transportation needs in a fantastic way, we found him thru a couple friend of ours, just google his name and you will find him. We can recommend to eveyone any time!Going to the airport at the end of your stay isn't too bad, and you can arrange this with any of your cab drivers during the week. They'll be there waiting for you at checkout. With cabs, I usually negotiate a good price, and then give them the difference from their asking price as a tip. - The beach is fantastic, even in March. The water is clean and warm. The number of vendors on the beach are limited, so it's not too bad.- The beds are very hard, which is the Mexican standard. The rooms are air conditioned and elegant, yet spartan. After laying in the sun and swimming/drinking all day, you won't have much problem going to sleep. ;-)- The water park at the end of resort is a blast, especially for the kids. .- Restaurants in town are a lot cheaper, and the food is much better. The resort is about 25 mins. from town, so it's not really that convienent to go every night. We usually load up on junk food during the day, and eat in the room at night.- The daily entertainment is fun, but not overbearing. At some resorts all you hear is the guy on the loudspeaker trying to get people interested in water aerobics. Not here. That's about all. We love this place, and plan to visit a Vidafel resort every year. Have Fun in Acapulco!!
