The Huntington Hotel is located in the heart of Nob Hill, a hop, skip, jump from Fisherman's Wharf and the cable car running right outside. From the minute I arrived, the staff was attentive, courteous, and ready to serve. My travel companion booked with his American Express card and it got us a TON of freebies - car service, free breakfast and lunch, access to the spa, and a bunch of other freebies. The room I had was one the 12th floor - 1203, which is right on the corner. I recommend corner rooms, especially those overlooking Nob Hill where you can watch people walking around outside, doing Tai Chi in the morning and see the cable cars go by. The bed was incredibly comfortable - layers of sheets and a thick comforter - everything I need for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was unremarkable, except to say that it was well-clad in marble and granite, beautifully done.Off the lobby was a well kept infinity pool with a jacuzzi, outside sitting deck overlooking downtown, and a selection of refreshing infused waters to sip and savor. The heated pool was perfect for lounging and I spent a few afternoons out on the sitting deck, just enjoying the view. The in-hotel restaurant was also right off the lobby. Although somewhat pricey, I enjoyed both a breakfast and lunch with an affable and attentive waitstaff in a cozy atmosphere. Overall, I loved this hotel - I would stay here again without a doubt. Close to everything, with a relatively good price. The only problem I had was that internet was $10 a day, which, as a paying customer, I don't think is necessary. Other than that - highly recommended!
