Ghirardelli Square: For Sweet-toothed Tourists

Ghirardelli is a hedonistic little tourist stop. I can't imagine the locals go there much; I'm glad I went, but I don't think I would go again next time I visit. They were giving out samples of chocolates in the namesake store, which I would guess they do most days. I only bought one small bag of milk chocolates for a friend back home. There are also ice cream and cupcake stores there to satisfy a sweet tooth. Or, if you want something to take back to someone at home, a bag or box of chocolates is probably a good way to go. This is not a must-see if you are short on time; spend your time somewhere more interesting.
