AJ's Steakhouse is exactly what you would expect from a nice steakhouse in Vegas. Living in New York City I have been to many steakhouses. I would have to say that AJ's was not the best I have been to but it is better than average. For an appetizer we ordered an appetizer special of king crab legs. The crab legs were extremely sweet. If they are on the menu I highly recommend them. For a main course I ordered the fillet mignon. I tend to like my steak a bit more on the medium side then rare. For those that order steak medium rare especially those who like it more medium then rare no that it usually comes out more rare then I usually like. That being said, at AJ's they managed to get it just right. The steak was cooked to perfection. The temperature was just the way I requested and the seasoning was very mild. When I order a steak I prefer it to be mildly seasoned with some salt and pepper. This steak was seasoned just enough so that the flavor came from the meat itself. If you are a small party I recommend requesting a booth in advance. The tables in the middle of the restaurant seemed to be very close together. Like most restaurants in Vegas the only downfall that I found was the price. While I expect a good steakhouse to be pricey, if you live in a city with a good steakhouse spend your money elsewhere while in Vegas and head to the steakhouse at home.
