Rodeway Inn Downtown Offers Free Parking and Wi-Fi in Downtown

Rodeway Inn Downtown located at 101 9th St/Mission St has harmless but quite visible homeless people along 9th and Mission Streets, on the seedy side. There's free parking for registered guests, free wi-fi with the provided login and password at the front desk, with smoking and non-smoking rooms, tv, radio, air-conditioning, iron, coffee maker, no mini-fridge, free breakfast 7-10am consisting of coffee, orange juice and packaged pastries. To access your room, you'll need your issued room card to swipe for access to the stairway or for the elevator door to open.

The room itself is on the small side, clean, with a queen bed, small table and two chairs, no desk. The room appears to be recently remodeled but the carpet appears old and dirty. The faucet controls is easy to operate but takes a little getting use to, toilet is pressurized flushing, shower works fine, air-conditioning works good but wasn't really hot outside. The bed gave us a good night's sleep.

The location is convenient enough, though the immediate surronding area and the immediate environment getting to and from the room reminds me more of a low income housing setting, not very pleasant. For the money charged, I'd expect something nicer than what was gotten.

There's plenty of public transit nearby to the location, BART Civic Center station two blocks away at Market & 8th Sts., MUNI 9, 14, 14L, 19, 21, 26, F; or any of the underground street cars from either Civic Center or a little further Van Ness Ave stations (J, K, L, M, N, T.)
