We have stayed in several timeshares in Orlando: Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Cypress Pointe, Marriott’s Grande Vista, Sheraton Vistana, Orange Lake, Embassy Grand Beach, that we can use for comparison. Why it’s better than the rest:The Houses have their own garage. This is a great convenience to always have a parking pot inside your unit. It makes for easy transfer of luggage and groceries (no fighting for spots or carts). It is also large enough for a tall SUV. During those afternoon showers, we kept dry. We were given an electronic opener so there was no messing with keys to get in.The Houses have their own pool. My kids played in the pool every time we were home. I was able to relax and watch them from any room in the unit. It was wonderful that they could have fun while I could relax. There are only a handful of units with a hot tub (and only two with a lake view and a hot tub). We had to choose so we went with the hot tub. The view of the street was set back enough that we had privacy. The kids could have fun and make noise without bothering anyone. The Houses have two master bedrooms with giant Jacuzzis and the third bedroom has its own bathroom too. The showers are also very large and glass-enclosed. Each bedroom, including the third bedroom with twins beds, is bright and cheery with windows throughout. The Houses are located close to all in Orlando. There are many restaurants nearby and a Publix down the block. Access to highways is easy. The staff at Summer Bay are accommodating. We locked the inner door to our unit from the garage and didn’t have a key. The maintenance person went out of his way to climb through a window to get us in quickly. In addition, the pool filter was malfunctioning. They put in a new one the next day. We asked to check in early and they allowed us in by noon rather than making us wait as some places do. They also accommodated our unit request.I would gladly return.
