My son loves animals, and we rarely visit a new place in our travels without finding a zoo to visit. This is one of my favorite zoos. We had a beautiful day for our visit... Unfortunately the big cats were not there since they were building a new habitat for them. Since Philly is a relatively easy drive for us, I'm sure we'll make it back there again.Philadelphia's law requiring public art being created as a certain percentage of any development budget the zoo has lots of statues which Sam enjoyed posing on or near, which is a minor obsession of his! I don't mind though, because I'm assured of getting those great pictures of him to remember our trips by.The zoo offers swan boats, a tethered balloon ride along with your traditional zoo activities. Worth a full day visit.
