For two weary travellers in the middle of the first snow storm of the winter season, the Comfort Inn was a welcome sign glowing in the blizzard that was raging. Our late check-in was very quick and we were in our room trying to warm up, quite quickly. The only disappointment was the lack of an elevator for those guests not located on the ground floor. Trying to drag large suitcases up the flight of stairs was a bit inconvenient. Despite our late reservation, the hotel did have about 2 hours notice of our arrival yet we found the room to be ice cold and no heat had been turned on. We kept our jackets on for the first hour or so and finally upon returning to the room after picking up some quick food at a nearby fast food outlet we finally began to get warm. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet and we were able to fall asleep very quickly once in bed. The room rate included a continental breakfast which included bagels, toast, fresh fruit, muffins and juice, tea and coffee. Overall a pleasant stay and good night's sleep. Only room for improvement would have been an elevator and also we were quite disappointed to be greeted with an overwhelming smell of smoke in the lobby area.
