Pacific Beach Hotel was an experiment we will not repeat. Frequent visitors to Honolulu as we must pass through here on our way to almost anywhere else, we usually stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Garden or Ala Moana, but decided to try Pac Beach because they have a tennis court (Hilton does not) and room service (Ala Moana has stopped room service recently. The hotel is clean, the room adequate if a little outdated, the view is fabulous. Location is good for the heart of Waikiki. The Oceanarium is cool, however, we found the Sunday buffet poorly run and less than pleasing. We were told we would have free wifi in our room - it is not free, and not wireless. We were able to find wifi for a fee that worked in our rooms. We asked about the condition of the tennis court before booking and were told it was in good condition - this is not true - don't stay here for the tennis, the center of the net is held up with a patio chair! All in all, it's an okay hotel, very popular with the Asian crowd, quite crowded with children in the restaurants and less than honest about current conditions in the hotel. We will not stay here again.
