After booking our two bedroom villa as a one week Space-A reservation through the Armed Forces Vacation Club, I had several anxious moments while reading some of the reviews that had been submitted to this, and other, websites. Fortunately, we had a wonderful stay at Summer Bay Resorts. The check-in was smooth, courteous and fast. The grounds and buildings were attractive with well-kept lawns and a very friendly staff. Our two-bedroom villa was located on the first floor of Building 107 and was located close to most of the resort amenities that we wanted to use – the kids water park, putt-putt course and the clubhouse pool/beach.I thought the room was nice and rather spacious, but the tiled floors made it sound a little loud. The rooms were arranged and furnished as described in the resort website. A king bed in the master bedroom and a queen in the second bedroom. The washer, dryer and dishwasher in the villa were very handy to have. And despite several mentions on other reviews, there were no bugs during our one week stay. I grew up in Central Florida, so I know it can happen, but Summer Bay is obviously working and succeeding at controlling what others might have experienced during their visits.Checkout was smooth, and there was no pressure to take a Timeshare tour or presentation. They did offer, but never asked a second time. On the other hand, they called twice to make sure that everything in the villa was working and that our visit was enjoyable. Overall, the staff seemed to be working to make our visit enjoyable, and it was. I'm looking forward to my next stay at Summer Bay.
