In this day and age, you'd think people would be a little more leary about just "dropping off" their kids to roam this "family entertainment complex". We were dumb enough to let our 15 year old son go to Broadway At The Beach one afternoon with 3 of his friends to go to the movie theater. While waiting for their ride (friends parents) to pick them up (8:00pm), the boys were MUGGED by a group of 8 older Teens. These boys approached our son's group from the side and as they passed behind them, 3 of these teens grabbed them from behind, holding their arms while the other 5 rambled through their pockets, stealing their money and wallets. Obviously this group of thugs, has done this before, by the smooth way they conducted this operation. You Will never hear about this type of thing though, because Broadway At The Beach is owned by the Founding Families of Myrtle Beach, therefore ALL negative press gets squashed into oblivion. But trust me, Broadway At The Beach is no place to let kids roam, as much as B.A.T.B. tries to portray this area as a friendly "family" environment, It IS, in fact a safehaven for Thieves, Perverts and Preditors. There is terrible security, No Cameras and A general "you're on your own" attitude. You have been warned!
