I don't know of a Spanish word "emdeko," but as far as I'm concerned, this complex should be re-named for the cockroach. As with other condo complexes I've stayed in, I'm sure the quality of the units at Casa Emdeko vary a good deal. The particular unit I stayed in was beyond played out. But that notwithstanding, the complex itself was dirty, and the cockroaches abundant and absolutely the hugest I have ever seen - 2-3 inches long, and with antenna to match. The walkways to the rooms were never swept while I was there - for two weeks - and the debris made walking barefoot a trial. Not to mention that the lanai in the unit I was in obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long while, and there was dried food on the floor when I got there. And I found some sort of excrement on the stove each morning when I arose... mouse? Not sure.I'm a retired person who's been to all of the Hawaiian islands a number of times and I can say without reservation that this was by far the worst-kept complex in which I have ever stayed.Do yourself a favor and look around before you book into the Casa La Cucaracha!
