Located in the airport area right on the beach and 6 miles from El Rodadero it’s one of the best (and most expensive) beach resorts in Santa Marta, together with its neighboor Irotama. The hotel is ideal for families with children, and apartments are large enough with big balconies facing the sea and the several swimming pools. Regular rooms have a real small kitchen bar with only a sink and microwave, no oven or refrigerator. For those on business like myself, there’s wireless internet all around and a small internet room in the lobby, however the connection is paid (U$3.00/hour) and there’s no option for wired connecton.A grocery store in the lobby sells all kind of food and even overpriced liquors, and the all-you-can-eat restaurant serves good lunch and dinner but it’s a little expensive for a buffet (around U$17/person). Breakfast changes every day, going from unexpected chicken wings and steaks to regular fruits the next day.Cab ride from the airport must be around U$7 and the bus ride around U$0.60/person.
