WOW! If this place had no art in it, it would still be a great place to visit! The building is on a hill near Beverly Hills. You park near the freeway, then take a tram or walk one mile up the hill to the museum grounds. Once there, you will be rewarded with 360° views of LA and Southern California and can see as far as the smog will let you. The building and grounds are fantastic. There are many places just to sit and enjoy the view (fountains, gardens, walks, balconies, etc.). The collection is good, with all major periods of Europe represented. We were here for two hours and could have spent a lot more time just hanging out.Definitely worth a half day or more if you are in the LA area.
